McMurdo Emergency Location Beacons

McMurdo can trace it's origins back to the 1940s when the company was formed. McMurdo has since become a worldwide leader in marine safety and emergency location products.

In 1989, McMurdo produced it's first COSPAS-SARSAT approved EPIRB, further cementing the company's status as a leading brand in safety equipment. 1992 saw the release of the first McMurdo GMDSS approved Search And Rescue Transponder (SART).

Further to this, 2000 saw the introduction of GPS to both the EPIRB and PLB ranges. The PLB range also launched in the same year.

Never resting, McMurdo launched the ground breaking, ultra compact Fast Find 200 range of PLBs and in 2010 the Smartfind S5 AIS SART, renowned for it's cutting edge technology.
