Biosan can trace it's beginnings back over 18 years to 1992, when a group of scientists from the Institute of Microbiology in the Latvian Republic Academy of Science formed the company, which has since grown to become a reputable name in the laboratory instruments industry.
Specialising in the fields of genomics, protemoics and cellomics, the Biosan company philosophy has been to develop modern and exciting personal products for sample preparation.
Biosan have focused it's attention on the area of sample preparation in a bid to minimise the number of errors made during procedures. These mistakes can occur due to small sample volumes, lack of temperature control and a lack of air deactivation systems within the laboratory.
Products in the Biosan range include mixers, combined centrifuges/vortex mixers, thermoshakers, rockers, heating/cooling dry blocks, rotators and microplate apparatus.
Biosan products have also been branded under the names of Grant Bio, Boeco, KiskerBiotech, Seoulin Biosciences, Iwaki, Lab4You and various others.
